when we were young poets

when we were young and carefree
we wrote poems in the sky
watching them float away
like clouds on a summer day
as we grew older we drifted apart
like boats lost at sea after a storm
but I am still here poeming away

  1. I love the thought of writing poems in the sky though for me the sky does the writing. Sad when lovers drift apart.
