in search of spring

my heart yearns for the view
of blooming flowers
under the blue sky
my skin yearns for the touch
of a warm spring sun

instead, frozen snow greets
me at the front door
frigid air brushes against my face
a reminder, winter still lingers

  4. I hear you, Maria! We had sun for 2 days in a row so far and I hope it continues. The cold air and no sun are the worst parts, and they want to cling on.

  7. Maria you capture that universal ‘late-winter ache’ - moment where our mind has already moved into spring, but our body is still stuck in the cold 🙌
