majestic


his majestic smile
honey brown eyes
lured me in like
a sailor listening
to a siren’s song

I should have
been more careful
not venturing out
into deep waters
like mom said

now I’m immerse
head under water
by his alluring magic
that now has gotten
a total hold on me

    I like that image of falling in love as falling into deep water -- perhaps without knowing how to swim.
