searching

they go from house to house
city to city in pursuit of 
that perfect place to call home

they search for a serene setting with 
the warmth like a mother’s love

yet they find that there is no
substitute to fill such a void

  5. you made me think of the Eric Clapton song, "Motherless Children" I had a couple of cousins become orphans when their mom died when they were just toddlers. They had a rough way to go of it.
