another Monday
another day staring a long work week
another day dreaming of slumbering
instead of typing long emails
I sometimes wonder if I went back in time
altering my paths if things would be different
or still lead me to the same door
- Combining two prompts with today's poem - dVerse Quadrille #222: There's no alternative and 2025 April PAD Challenge Day 21
I’m so glad I don’t have to feel like that anymore, Maria, but you’ve reminded me of how it feels with your clever use of repetition.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim.
DeleteThis monday in Sweden was different.... Easter Monday is a holiday here.
ReplyDeleteI noticed the traffic was much lighter on Monday. People do take Easter Monday off and many schools take spring break around this time. I still had to work though. Thanks for reading.
DeleteFrom a retired lady's point of view .. there are days I miss the whirlwind of a full time job ~ then there are the days I do nothing but think, listen to music, am allowed to follow my creative instincts ~ and it feels so right. You will get there, promise.
ReplyDeleteI hope. Thanks Helen.
DeleteWe all often wonder if altering paths would have made our life different. I like your Q, Arcadia.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteThe only thing I miss about working is the social aspect of it.
ReplyDeleteI think many of us ponder that, Maria! Great poem!
