I want to gather
the warm memories
scattered across grass
let me bind them
into photo albums
to remember these days
let us watch another
sunset before darkness
burst the seams
- Written for dVerse Poetics: Come Sew With Me. I used the terms "gather" and "seams". I also borrowed "bind" from "binding".
gathering, binding, and watching, all warm activities with loved ones.

ReplyDeleteThanks for reading Bjorn.
DeleteBeing a septuagenarian fast approaching 80, I truly can relate to your poem. Memories....photo albums....I find myself taking albums off the shelf and just slowly looking through the pages remembering....
ReplyDeleteLove the gathering, specially the last lines.
ReplyDeleteWell done.
ReplyDeleteMemories in photo albums. The brain is sometimes unreliable. Nicely done here.
