in honesty

do you really want me to be honest
or would you rather I say the sweet
words you desire to hear?

do you really want me to be frank
or should I sugar-coat my feelings
making them easier on your mind?

you tell me

  1. Great questions! Sometimes, we don’t actually want honesty.

  4. My parents always told me "honesty is the best policy" ~~~ I'm sticking with that policy. Love where you took the Quad challenge.

  5. Very relevant questions. Sometimes we are not ready for the truth.

  6. Very much depends, honesty should not be sugarcoated, but it shouldn't be cruel either.

  8. I've been reading the Penguin Book of Lies and this question is the one that has mostly been discussed through the ages. Such as, when not saying anything could be deemed as being dishonest. Real lies, true lies etc...as someone mentioned above - it depends on time, place and person (and judgement!)
