glorious November

the air was too warm

for the first of November

almost felt like spring

rather than mid-autumn

but I inhaled that glorious

air to savor it before

the return of fall’s chill

done with dreams

she thought she was a

lost cause when it came

to love – done with dreams

of knights in shining armor,

princes with glass slippers

until he walked into the room
