Enchantment of stars

Enchanting
Stars dance across the sky
Your golden eyes shimmer in moonlight

Luminous
Starlight outshines shadows
The light of your smile brings such joy

Radiant
The songs of glowing moons
Your voice echoes across the oceans

Glimmering
Against the dark window
Your heart gives me hope of lasting love

north, south, east, west

under the north star
she guides souls to freedom
cloaked by night’s darkness

in the south of France
they enjoy sipping red wine
under skies of blue

as the east wind blows
the clouds above turn to black
storm makes her approach

along the west coast
we watch colorful sunsets
the moon greets our eyes

wherever you are

wherever you are, love,
I hope you find me soon
before my heart turns
to snow and ice

take me in your arms,
just like in the movies,
stare into my eyes until
sunsets kiss away tears

let me slumber in your
shadow, until I get lost
in dreams filled with love
and are never-ending

falling

falling
I didn’t know what was happening
I only thought I had lost my footing

falling
I saw the clear blue sky above me
as the clouds became smaller and smaller

falling
the air was leaving my lungs
I couldn’t call out to you to catch me

falling
became so peaceful that my fear
vanished and my mind was at ease

falling
is the last thing I remembered but you,
my parachute, opened before impact

a morning with you

a morning with you
beats any holiday
cuddling in your arms is,
dare I say, heavenly
everyone may say I’m a
fool in love, but that’s okay

- Written for dVerse Meeting The Bar:School Days where we are tasked in writing an alphabet sestet.  This was a bit harder than I imagined, but I imagined to come up with this one.

evening whispers

we whisper into the breeze
as we lounge under palm trees
at nightfall we greet the stars
and the moon becomes all ours

the old house

the old house
held such dark secrets
in shadows
they all lurk
until the witching hour
to open my door

the belief
in ghosts never held
a strong hold
within me
until the summer night when
I smelled your perfume

it was you –
no doubt in my mind
through gateways
you returned
what it to check up on us
or just to pass time?

or maybe
you felt something dark
taking hold
in my mind
your presence was able to
push darkness away

valentine

funny valentine
is what I dreamed you would be
instead you became
my lost valentine that slipped
out my hands, forever gone

I wanted you

I always watched you from afar
like a star that I could not reach
how I wanted to be in your light
and be the one in your heart

I wanted you to look at me
like you looked at her, who was not me
how my heart ached every night
that you were unattainable

then the stars somehow aligned
and we crossed paths once more
this time I caught your eyes

now in your arms, made up dreams
becoming reality, so I close my eyes
to imprint this to memory

silent protest

as you held my hand
we took our last stand
for us

and our own plan
was to save our land
but thus

we could not withstand
and force to disband
sans fuss
