north, south, east, west

under the north star
she guides souls to freedom
cloaked by night’s darkness

in the south of France
they enjoy sipping red wine
under skies of blue

as the east wind blows
the clouds above turn to black
storm makes her approach

along the west coast
we watch colorful sunsets
the moon greets our eyes

  4. I love the compass approach in this sequence, and the way the haiku shift from star to earth, to wind and clouds, and then back to earth, like the needle of a compass. I also like the use of colour in the second haiku – you almost had the tricolour there, just missing the white – the that the storm in the third one is female. 😊
