between dreams

between dreams
and gentle
promises

I touch stars
lift the sun
to blue skies

your love song
makes us dance
day and night

tell about this...

what is this magic
you speak of?
these butterflies
that you feel inside
how do stars dance
in the night sky?
tell me about dreams
turning into realities
or about the salve
that heal broken hearts
tell me about this thing
you call love

while lounging on a spring afternoon

I watch the blue sky
lying beneath sun

I listen to the moon
whispering to stars

I taste rain drops
falling from clouds

the perfume of roses
tickle my nose

the warmth of your skin
brushes against mine

wish we could stay here
for all eternity

let the world’s chaos
pass into shadows

circle

round and round
a circle we go
in a dance
waiting to see
who will make
the first move

maybe we should
stop this game
of merry-go-round
before we both
get lost in circles
and miss our call

shaken, not stirred

he likes his martinis
shaken not stirred
epitome of cool
he had me before
even saying hello

for fun we teleport
across blue skies to
exotic places from sandy
beaches to metropolises

it was just a fantasy
but an ordinary girl
can still dream

when the candle burned out

he came to me
in kindness
wanting to ignite
the candle
that went out

I look towards
my palms
searching for
answers to
this request

I turn towards
the rising sun
walking away
from flames
burnt out
