a shadow passes

he thought it was the end

when he told her goodbye

yet she haunts his dreams

every single night

 

at midnight with open eyes

he could see her dark shadow

passing by his bedroom door

causing insomnia every night

I present to you my heart

warm and beating waiting

for you to cherish and hold

it until the end of time

 

I only ask that you handle

it with care like it was made

of porcelain glass for it

can break as easily
