salt

I would never add salt
to my french fries
some thought i was strange

i prefer warm butter
on my popcorn making
my fingers shiny

I try my best not to add
salt to another's wounds
for I know the sting
of its touch

  2. I echo De's comment. I was thinking something similar, but De said it better than I could. :)

  3. Very nice! Salt in a wound stings... as does leamon juice!
When our two cents is salt in another's wound it is not helpful or healing!

  4. a salty truth. salt in a wound does not help it heal but your words will.

  5. A beautifully sensitive poem: only a cruel person would seek to rub salt in the wounds of another!

  6. This is definitely a "thinking" poem, Arcadia - beautifully written.
