- Written for Quadrille #161: Staying on Track
Ain’t that just the way it is Arcadia, we come together and we never know where we will end up. But the mystery is the joy.
ReplyDeleteAh nice! The suspense is great.
ReplyDeleteHappy you dropped by my blog.
Much❤love
Always wondering, Maria. My husband came from the same side of the track, yet we seem to be moving to opposite sides as we get older. Why is that?
ReplyDeleteI like the questioning at the end. We really don't know how Romeo and Juliet--so young--would have felt about one another if they had lived and spent years together. Or any couple, for that matter.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rob, JadeLi, Gillena, Kim and Merrill for stopping by and reading.
ReplyDeleteThis is really, really good, Arcadia - I love it! A fantastic quadrille, truly.

Thank you David for your kind words.
DeleteLovely poem, love the questioning at the end!
ReplyDeleteThey do say opposites attract! Let's hope for a better ending than Shakespeare provided.
ReplyDeleteIndeed.. the different sides of the track is always a barrier, but there are those who manage to cross
ReplyDeleteA common theme in so many love stories but a good reminder that we can always cross the 'track', and share both sides of it.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kim, Lillian, brudberg & Mish for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteIt's the suspense in crossing the boundary! Good one, Arcadia.
