late summer sun slips behind rain clouds
I watch the trees bend as the wind picks up
raindrops tap against window panes
while streets become rivers
in a blink of an eye the storm ceases
and the sun returns drying out
the drenched roadways

DeleteGreat poem, Arcadia! We've had several recent summer storms, and I'm always amazed at how it's raining and and then so suddenly ended a few minutes later.
