time
is the train that you always
seem to be chasing
time
is the blooming flowers that
in time will wither away
time
is the laughter of children
a reminder of youthful days
time
is the deep ocean waves
that carry us far and away
time
is a kiss sparking a love story
you never want to end
- My attempt at dVerse Poetics: Personifying The Abstract
I like the thought of time being "the laughter of children".

DeleteTime is all these things, Maria, but I particularly love ‘time is the laughter of children’ and ‘a kiss sparking a love story you never want to end’.

DeleteReminds me of Gollum's riddles to Bilbo
ReplyDeleteThis thing all things devours;
Birds, beasts, trees, flowers;
Gnaws iron, bites steel;
Grinds hard stones to meal;
Slays king, ruins town,
And beats mountain down.
Wow. That's neat. Thanks for reading.
DeleteI like all your images of time and the repetition works well!
