walking in autumn

the rustling leaves crunch beneath our boots
while walking under cobalt sky
that will soon fade into deeper blues

on lawns pumpkins with frightful cravings
awaiting Halloween visitors

in the coming dark my ears detect
the haunting boos of the unseen
dancing under moonlight

  1. Love those unseen dancers! This is a fabulous Fall poem, Arcadia.

  4. I like how you shift the blue of the sky. The haunters can keep their boos to themselves.
