I like the contrast between "funny" and "lost".
'funny valentine' took me straight to my father's record collection and one of my favourite songs by Sarah Vaughan - and then I had to go to YouTube and listen to it.So sad that the 'funny Valentine' became a 'lost valentine'.
Not so very funny... but it happens
I like the song and your poem...an ‘ahhh’ moment.
Oh no... life tends to give you disappointments
So sad life was swept away in red on the day to remember love, heartrending
So sad and lovely at the same time.
poignant words, but so sad, i feel Valentine's day is such a sad day.
Love can take so many twists and turns, but it's worth the risk every time. Something always to be learned.
I think we all hope for a funny valentine, someone we can relate to. But not the heartbreak. Nice work.
How unfortunate and painful to have a hope for funny valentine turn into a lost one. Even then, love is worth the risk. ~Imelda
