summer longing

I wish summer’s touch
would linger a bit longer
before autumn arrives
and embraces my heart
until winter puts me
into a slumber with
her ice cold kiss

  7. Do you really? I was thinking it was high time for autumn already. I think it's because the stores have already put out Halloween supplies. :)

I like your title's double meaning in "longing" --- wanting it to last longer.

  8. Right there with you on this one, always was a summer kid. This could have been written by Demeter. 💜
