in isolation

spring should bring warmth
to my skin, flush away blues
collected on long winter nights
instead I sit in solitude, watching
way too much television
they say a danger lurks outside,
wanting to grasp my lungs
I sit, waiting for this darkness to flee

  1. I like your description of what Spring can do: "flush away blues
    collected on long winter nights"

  2. You've captured the feeling so many of us are experiencing. I'm actually happy that our weather has been on the colder side for Spring, keeping those that are not as patient inside.

  3. Your poem tells the feelings of many during this time.
    Well done.

  4. You assessed my state of mind so well here. Just when we want to get out and about the door clanks shut :(

  5. Sadly, your poem speaks for pretty much all of us. Those winter night blues have lingered much longer than we hoped.

  6. We all sit in solitude, waiting for the madness to end! You've captured the situation well.
