it
is possible to see
the end of this storm
that has darkened our skies
many
hold onto hope
that sunlight will return
to our faces
but it
seems that black
the end of this storm
that has darkened our skies
that sunlight will return
to our faces
clouds keep rolling in
I am holding on but
my grip is slipping
- Written for dVerse Quadrille#116: Poem Those Possibles
I understand this feeling well, Arcadia. But there is a sliver of sunlight in all things. And sometimes we have to learn to dance in the rain.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard... but letting loose is not an option.
ReplyDeleteHold on to the sunlight despite the black clouds that keeps on rolling in.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully written, a very poignant poem.
ReplyDeleteYou must have read my mind, Maria. You’ve captured the current atmosphere, but those black clouds must have a bit of silver lining in them.
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone.
ReplyDeleteMust hang on but losing my grip.....you've said the words so many of us feel. This Covid Age has stretched on so long. How I miss seeing my son and his family.....vaccines in the news gives us hope and I've tightened my grip a bit more....we can make it....we can make it...
ReplyDeleteHang on, Sloopy, we gonna make it yet!!
ReplyDeleteWe need to hang in there as best we can ... all of us. Take care ~~~~
ReplyDeleteI wonder too... will the end come soon.
ReplyDeleteYou have captured the feeling of many people I'm sure. Please keep writing and reading and publishing.
