he
spotted my black fedora
from
across the dance floor
when
we reach arm’s length
you
complimented me
little
did I know that was
the start
of a new chapter
thought
it was a bit short
the
adventure was indeed fun
occasionally
I sit and wonder
what
city you dance in now
I
still have that black hat
sitting
in my closet now
collecting
dust and memories

ReplyDeleteTreasure is treasure, eh?
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how things just take your there! Great memories. Hang on to the hat... you might need it again!
ReplyDeleteTo have kept it means something special. Nice.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and poignant, Arcadia. If this is fiction, it sure doesn't feel like it!
