I
used to watch my dad
sit
at the kitchen table
reading
newspapers
as
a teen I sought out
the
sports page for news
on
my favorite teams
now
I read articles on
flat
screens, no longer
holding
those ink pages
in my hands

I loved those "ink pages," too. Especially on Sundays. My Dad, now 78, still reads the real deal on Sundays. ;) This brought back memories. Thank you.

DeleteWe still have a paper delivered each morning... it's something special to share some reading for breakfast.
ReplyDeleteThe hard copy paper in our town ended a long time ago. It was always a Sunday morning treat for me to read it cover to cover.
