in dreams

I had dreams of us
chasing after sunsets
painting the sky in
orange crush hues

I had dreams of
white sands, azure seas
greeting us at sunrise

in your honey eyes
I saw promises
sweet as candy

if only those dreams
could be reality

  3. So well done. I like that touch of "honey eyes," the trap hidden in the temptation to dream, and then wake up to "reality."

  11. Alas some dreams don't always come true... but the good thing neither do nightmares.
