beneath the surface of dark ocean waters
my heart still beats for my one
who has yet to reveal his face to me
I have searched across the seas
scanned many faces, kissed too many
lips that only left bitterness behind
although my face says I have given up
deep within there is a part of me
that still clings to such desires
