muddling

pulled in a thousand directions
I’m trying to find my way through
this journey to reach my place
but the paths are hidden by wild vines
countless voices shouting out “come here!”
I’m just muddling through this midnight hour
looking for that glorious light

There are contending distractions bidding for one's attention at those critical moments!

  2. I love that version of the word Muddle. My mom used to say just "muddling around". Nice!
