she dreamed of skylines

she dreamed of skylines
towers that touch the clouds
while others dream of colonial houses
with white picket fences
 
she fantasized about trekking
across the globe as others 
plan for babies and backyard
birthday parties
 
she steps to her own drumbeat
without any regrets
