to find my travel muse again

I had plans to travel
across the world’s map
but a pandemic threw a
curveball in that itinerary

now I’m trying to recapture
that wanderlust for travel
but I’m finding it is not
easy pulling my feet out
of the mud to roam free

  3. When the rain gets warm, step out of it and let it wash the mud away. Hoping you get a chance to see one destination this year :)

  4. Yes not so easy after all. But hoping you get to travel anyway.

  5. I took my first journey in three years last October. I cast all fear and trepidation aside; yet, I also brought a "medicine cabinet," of prevention with me in my backpack. As is written, somewhere, "An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of medicine."

    1. Haha. I did this even before the pandemic and will continue to do so.

  6. Your quadrille resonates with me, Maria. So many of us are finding it hard to pull our feet out of the mud. I will visit my daughter and sister again this year - no flights for me.

  7. I hope you feel able to wander again! It's taken us awhile to even feel comfortable going to places locally.

  8. Indeed... I think we are many who have rooted ourselves.

  10. Yes, I know the feeling. Some people couldn't wait to get going again, but I seem to have remained somewhat shut down.
