Poem for today:

“waiting for love”

I’ve been waiting patiently

for love to show its face

to wrap me in its arms

and never let me go

I’ve been patiently waiting

to meet that one person

who will stop me in my tracks

and fall under their spell

have I been waiting too long?

did I somehow miss the train?

perhaps love already came by

but I was too distracted to see

I do not know the answer

yet still my heart waits

patiently on love’s arrival

I hope I’m not too late
