"Selene"
one summer night he met the moon
who called herself Selene
she was an exotic beauty
with pale skin and dark hair
seducing men down to their knees
he chased her across the night skies
dodging stars and blazing comets
but she always managed to escape him
flashing him her beautiful smile
reminding him she was unattainable
- Written for dVerse Poetics: Moon-muse.
Unattainable indeed, she is. Perhaps that is part of her mystery and seduction.
ReplyDeleteOh, what a seductress! Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteI do like the image of a coy moon... she is like that isn't she? always a little out of grasp.
ReplyDeleteShe's a wily one, all right. ;) Love this.
ReplyDeleteI respect this Selene that holds herself unattainable!
ReplyDeletethis feels like Greek myths =)

ReplyDeleteLovely write ❤
ReplyDeleteJust when you think you've got her, she wanes!
ReplyDeleteOh that's the worst kind of flirt...one who is never quite attainable.
